If I am travelling to two different countries, can I get two different currencies loaded on the same Card?
Yes, the ICICI Bank Multicurrency Forex Prepaid Card can be loaded with up to 15 currencies in a single Card. This Card can be used to transact in various countries using funds from the respective currency wallets at all VISA affiliated merchant outlets, ATMs and e-commerce platforms. The total amount loaded on a Card, all currencies combined, should be as per the prevailing Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) regulations.
How do I reload my Card when I am abroad?

Can the Forex Prepaid Card be used in India?
No, the Card cannot be used in India, Nepal & Bhutan. Balance inquiry is allowed free of cost at ICICI Bank ATMs in India (not available for Multicurrency Forex Prepaid Card). However, balance available on the Card will be reflected in INR (Indian Rupees) but the actual balance will be in the originally loaded currency. You can also generate a new ATM PIN at any ICICI Bank ATM in India, free of cost.
At what rate can I get the refund of my funds?
The funds will be credited at the prevailing rate on the day you apply for a refund. For online refund, log in to iMobile or Internet Banking or visit any Forex-enabled Branch. Refund for expired Cards can only be processed at Branches.
What are the minimum and maximum amounts I can load on the ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card?
Usage of the ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card should be in accordance with the regulations of the RBI and FEMA. The minimum amount that can be loaded is <1> unit (i.e., USD 1, GBP 1 etc.). The maximum amount loaded should be done as per the FEMA, 1999 and prevailing RBI regulations.

If the merchant says that the Forex Prepaid Card is not working, what is to be done?
Make sure you have enabled the Card for Online/POS transactions. Ask the merchant to swipe the Card on a Credit Card terminal that accepts VISA/Mastercard Cards. If the Card is still getting declined, visit any ATM to check the available balance on the Card. Customers can also withdraw cash from the ATM and settle with the merchant. Call 1800 1080 or your Relationship Manager for a follow up with the Merchant.
What are the exchange rates that apply when a transaction is carried out on the Card?
For transactions carried out in your base currency, no exchange rate is applicable. However, for transactions other than in the base currency, VISA/Mastercard wholesale rates* will apply. These rates are generally more advantageous than the rates offered by Money Changers.
*There will be a currency conversion markup of 3.5%, plus 18% Goods and Services Tax will be levied by the Bank.
Can I buy more than one ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card?
Yes. You can own more than one ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card, but the purpose of travel needs to be different such as business or leisure.
How long does it take to get the refund in my account?
It takes up to <3> hours for the refund to reflect in the account. In some cases, due to system issues, it may take 1 working day for the refund amount to reflect in the account.
Where will I find my Primary Card’s ATM PIN and Secondary Card’s ATM PIN? How can I change them?
Both the ATM PINs are sent to your registered mobile number and e-mail ID once the respective Cards are activated. The Primary Card’s ATM PIN is sent as soon as the kit is activated. The Secondary Card’s ATM PIN is generated once the Primary Card is closed/permanently blocked and the Secondary Card is activated. The ATM PIN can be changed by logging in to the iMobile app or Internet Banking.
What is the process of refund for a Corporate Forex Card?
Customers with a Corporate Forex Card would have to contact their Relationship Manager or visit any ICICI Bank Forex-enabled Branch for a Forex Card refund. Along with a request letter on the Corporate letterhead (signed by an authorised signatory), a Refund form and Passport copy need to be provided. The amount will then be credited to the Corporate Current Account (Company’s Account). In case the customer needs a refund in their own Savings Account, an NOC on a Corporate letterhead (signed by an authorised signatory), a Refund form and Passport copy will be required.
What is Dynamic Currency Conversion?
Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC), also referred to as Cardholder Preferred Currency (CPC), is a service offered by merchants except VISA, in some countries. If you choose to use the DCC service, the merchant will convert the purchase price of goods or services at the Point-of-Sale terminal from the currency in which the price (i.e. the merchant’s local currency) is displayed to another currency (i.e. your home currency) using an exchange rate that typically includes a service fee. It is recommended that you do not opt for DCC settlement if offered by a merchant at the time of bill payment.
What is a pre-authorisation? What precaution should I take if a pre-authorisation transaction is to be done on my Forex Prepaid Card?

When you check into a hotel or rent a car using your ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card, the merchant may block a certain amount on your Card. This is called pre-authorisation. It is recommended that you do not use a Forex Prepaid Card at the time of checking-in or initiating a rental. Any other Credit Card can be used for making reservations. Merchants will allow you to use your ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card at the time of settling your final bill.

If you have used your ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card for check-in or while renting a car, ensure that at the time of final settlement you cancel the pre-authorisation and take a fresh authorisation for the actual bill amount. If this is not done, the pre-authorised funds may not be available to you immediately. Based on VISA norms, ICICI Bank may not be able to credit you the pre-authorised amount for up to 31 days from the date of pre-authorisation.
What needs to be done in case hotels/car rentals take a pre-authorisation?

In the event that the Merchant neither reverses the amount nor provides you with the VOID Transaction Slip for submission at your bank, ICICI Bank will reverse the amount after the 31st day from the date of the transaction. In case of an unsettled cash withdrawal transaction, the reversal will be released on the 11th day from the date of the transaction.

How do I activate my Secondary Card?
The Secondary Card can be activated by logging in to the iMobile app or Internet Banking. Additionally, you can call 1800 1080 and request a balance transfer. Your ATM PIN and Secondary Card PIN can also be generated through the mentioned modes. If you lose both Primary and Secondary Cards, another Replacement Card will be sent to your location upon your request.
How do I generate or change my Secondary Card PIN?
In case of a Secondary Card, a new ATM PIN and Secondary Card PIN will be required. The Secondary Card PIN can be generated by logging in to the iMobile app or Internet Banking Additionally, you can call our Customer Care on 1800 1080.

You may need a replacement card if you lose both the Primary Card and the Secondary Card. You can apply for a replacement Forex Prepaid card and it will be delivered to your registered address.

How is the ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card secured against unauthorised cash withdrawals from ATMs?
The Forex Prepaid Card comes with advanced security features. To withdraw cash from the ATM, a customer needs the ATM PIN, which is available only to him/her. The ATM PIN is issued at the time of card purchase. The customer needs to remember the 4-digit PIN and destroy the kit in which the PIN is mentioned. The customer should not write the PIN on the card. The card would be blocked after 4 unsuccessful PIN attempts. This ensures that anyone having unauthorised access to the card cannot use the card.
How is the ICICI Bank Forex Prepaid Card secured against unauthorised payments at the merchant outlets?
Transactions at the merchant outlets are protected by signature. The merchant has to match the signature on the chargeslip (produced by the Electronic Data Capture machine at the time of purchase) with the signature on the signature panel present on the reverse of the card. The customer must sign on the signature panel immediately on receiving the card.

The Chip Card must remain in the terminal till the transaction is completed.

If the merchant accidentally swipes the Card instead of inserting the Card, the terminal will automatically identify it as a Chip Card. The terminal will ask the cashier to insert the Chip Card instead of swiping it. If the POS terminal does not have chip facility, the Card can be used for normal magnetic stripe swipes.
What security features are implemented to prevent unauthorised usage of a replacement card before it reaches the customer?
The replacement card would be couriered to the customer in an ‘Inactive’ status. The card can be activated by logging in to the iMobile app or Internet Banking. The customer can also activate the card by calling Customer Care on 1800 1080 from the registered mobile number and confirming the receipt of the card in proper condition. Without this verification, the card will not be activated for initiating transactions.
Is remote loading of the Forex Prepaid Card possible?
Yes, remote loading of the Forex Prepaid Card is possible. Here is the process:
Log in to the iMobile app > Cards/ Forex/ PayLater > Forex Prepaid Cards > Reload
Log in to Internet Banking > Cards & Loans > Forex & Prepaid Cards > Reload
If you are reloading the card from the Branch -

Leave a signed copy of the Reload Form and authorisation with your family

Your family member can then visit the designated ICICI Bank Branch or the authorised Money Changer with the Reload Form

On submission of the required documents and receipt of payment, the card will be reloaded

Alternatively, the card can also be reloaded online in real-time via iMobile app or Internet Banking.
What should I do if my card is lost/stolen?
If your card is lost or stolen, you should immediately contact Customer Care on 1800 1080 to report the loss/theft of your card and it will be blocked. Alternatively, you can also block your card through iMobile app or Internet Banking.
Where are the Primary Card and Secondary Card attached?
The Primary Card is attached with the Welcome Letter. The Secondary Card is attached on the last page of the booklet.
The Secondary Card is available only for the Sapphiro, Expressions Sapphiro, Student Sapphiro, Coral and Student Forex Prepaid Card variants. You will not get a Secondary Card for the Multicurrency Forex Prepaid Card variant.
Will the ATM PIN of the replacement Forex Prepaid Card continue to be the same as the ATM PIN of the previous card?
No. The customer will receive a new ATM PIN along with the replacement card. The customer needs to use that for transacting at ATMs. The ATM PIN is triggered to the registered mobile number of the customer as soon as the replacement card is activated.<
