Can I obtain a refund of the value on the Delhi Metro Transit Chip?
DMRC rules governing the use of this Card do not permit refund of any balance on the Delhi Metro Transit Chip.
How and where will the Auto Top-Up get triggered?
The Auto Top-Up will automatically get triggered when you tap the card at the entry gate at Auto Top-Up enabled Delhi Metro stations*, if the balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip is lower than the threshold limit. You will be able to view the updated balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip at the station gate when you exit at your destination station.

How and where will the auto recharge get triggered for Namma / Bangalore Metro Card?
The auto recharge will automatically get triggered when you tap the card at the entry gate at Bangalore Metro stations, if the balance on your Namma Metro Transit Chip is lower than the threshold limit. You will be able to view the updated balance on your Namma Metro Transit Chip at the station gate when you exit at your destination station.
What will happen if the Auto Top-Up transaction on my ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card is declined?
In the event that the Auto Top-up transaction on your ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card is declined, the card will automatically be blocked for use on the Delhi Metro. The decline might occur due to reasons such as:
- Payment for previous month’s Minimum Amount Due on the Card not received on or before the Payment Due Date
- Exhaustion of Credit Limit on the Card
- Blocked Card status on account of lost/stolen cards
In these scenarios, you will need to call the ICICI Bank Customer Care and place a request for a replacement card. Please note that standard replacement charges as applicable will be levied.
What happens if the Auto Top-Up facility on Unifare Credit Card remains unused for a long period of time?
If the Auto Top-Up facility on your card remains unused consecutively for 6 months, the facility will be deactivated. This is to ensure customer safety and reduce possible frauds. If you wish to avail the Auto Top-Up facility again, please place a request for a replacement card* by calling our Customer Care.
*Replacement charges as applicable will be levied
What should I do if my ICICI bank Unifare Credit Card gets damaged or is not readable at the Metro stations?
In case your ICICI Bank Unifare Card is not readable at the Metro stations, please visit the customer service window at the station for resolution of the issue. If the issue persists, please contact the ICICI Bank Customer Care. ICICI Bank will close your existing Credit Card and send you a new Credit Card. The balance on the Delhi Metro Transit Chip will however not be transferable to the new Credit Card.
What will happen to the Delhi Metro Transit Chip in case I wish to close my Credit Card?
In the unfortunate event of you wanting to close your ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card, you may do so by calling the ICICI Bank Customer Care. All your outstanding amounts will become payable immediately and your Credit Card will be closed as per your request.

The ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card is a dual purpose card that can be used for traveling on the Delhi Metro and for making Credit Card transactions at over 22 million establishments worldwide. This is because the card contains a Delhi Metro Transit chip embedded along with the Credit Card Chip.
What is Auto Top-Up for Unifare Credit Card?
Auto Top-Up is a standing instruction on your ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card for recharging the Delhi Metro Transit chip. In this facility the Auto Top-Up amount is credited to the Delhi Metro Transit chip automatically when the balance on the chip drops below the threshold limit. The Auto Top-Up amount is Rs.200 i.e. every time the balance on your Delhi Metro Transit chip drops below a certain limit, Rs. 200 will be debited to your Credit Card and credited on the Delhi Metro Transit chip.
Will I get an SMS whenever the Auto Top-Up is triggered on my Unifare Credit Card?
You will not receive an SMS when Auto Top-Up is triggered on the Delhi Metro Transit chip in your Credit Card, but you will receive an SMS once your Credit Card account is subsequently debited with the Top-Up amount.
If I have a ICICI Bank Unifare Credit Card and a Delhi Metro smartcard, can I use both the cards for a single journey?
Please make sure to use the same card in entry and exit during a single journey to avoid inconvenience. Use of different cards for the same journey might attract penalty as per DMRC rules.
