Benefits of applying for an OCI Card

Holding an OCI Card offers numerous advantages, such as:

  • No need to report to the police authorities for any length of stay in India
  • Equality with Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) in financial, economic and educational fields, except for the purchase of agricultural or plantation properties
  • Re-issuance of OCI Card

It is essential to note that re-issuance of the OCI Card is mandatory every time you renew your passport, till you are 20 years old and then after attaining the age of 50. This requirement is due to the frequent biological changes in facial features within these age groups.
